TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – The most current COVID-19 Community Spread Levels map from the Northeast Texas Public Health District (WEB Health) programs Wood County is experiencing the greatest level of neighborhood spread.
In a map launched Thursday, Wood County has actually been updated to the ‘considerable level’ of spread. WEB Health specifies considerable spread as “big scale, unrestrained neighborhood transmission, consisting of congregate settings.”
While Wood County was updated, Smith County’s neighborhood spread level was decreased from the previous report to the moderate level. Moderate neighborhood spread is level 2 out of 3 and specified by web Health as “continual transmission with validated direct exposure within congregate settings and possible for fast boost in cases.”
