The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office has actually determined the victim in Monday afternoon’s fatal shooting near Burns as 41-year-old Cheyenne citizen Alexander Frederick Papin II.
Agency spokesperson Captain Kevin James states the shooting happened at a house in the 4300 block of the East Interstate 80 Service Road, approximately 3 miles east of the TA Travel Center.
He states investigators are still attempting to identify what Papin, who was noticable dead at the scene by medical responders, was doing at the house.

When asked Wednesday afternoon if the constable’s workplace was dealing with Papin’s death as a murder, James informed KGAB Radio, “The nature of the shooting is undetermined and still under examination at this time. No arrest (has actually been made).”
James states “the topic of the examination will be determined once it is considered that doing so will not jeopardize a continuous examination.”
