A New Jersey downtown location might be called as one of the very best in the nation.
The Metuchen Downtown Alliance has been selected as one of Main Street America’s 8 semifinalists for the 2023 Great American Main Street Award.

Each year, the award goes to neighborhoods “whose successes function as a design” for revitalization that’s both extensive and preservation-based. Downtowns get points for ingenious shows, neighborhood outreach, and dedication to variety, equity, and addition.
Joining Downtown Metuchen as semifinalists are locations in Danville, Virginia; Denison, Texas; Florence, South Carolina; Orlando, Florida; Ruston, Louisiana; Sheridan, Wyoming; and Sykesville, Maryland.

The winning downtown locations will be revealed in March throughout theMain Street Now Conference Three downtowns got the award each year from 2013 through 2022, leaving out 2021, when no award was dispersed.
The words “Shop Small, Shop Local” have actually been welcoming visitors because 2017 along theMain Street Bridge According to Main Street America, “Metuchen Downtown Alliance genuinely strolls the walk when it pertains to developing a culture of supporting small companies.”
