The Top Red Wine Medalists at the 2022 San Francisco International WIn e Competition

The San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC) is among the world’s crucial white wine competitors.

Founded in 1980, the SFIWC is now in its 42nd year. It is the earliest American white wine competitors and amongst the most distinguished.

The competitors is sponsored by the Tasting Alliance (TA), the moms and dad company of the similarly popular San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the New York World Wine Competition, the New York World Spirits Competition, and theSingapore World Spirits Competition This year TA revealed the addition of brand-new competitors covering beer and RTD mixed drinks.

Red fruit with distinct strawberry notes. It’s dynamic on the taste buds, somewhat drying, with ripe tannins, vigorous level of acidity, and a long, juicy, ripe red fruit surface.

The Best Bordeaux Blend < < $25 was the BOXT NV 72% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, California, U.S.A., $16.

The Judging Panel explained the white wine as proving:

Red and black fruit, with an unique red currant note and a touch of earthy white pepper on the nose. Juicy on the taste buds, with well-integrated ripe tannins, moderate+ level of acidity, and a long, fruity surface.
