CODD, Shelly Machelle Dawn “Shelly” Wester Codd, passed away in harmony in the house on September 22, 2022. She was 59. Faith, household, good friends, and charity specified Shelly – she really lived a life of function, empathy and take care of others. Shelly was the precious partner of Thomas W. Codd, Jr.; liking mom of Thomas W. III, Kevin Francis, Michael Patrick and Kaitlin Marlene; dedicated sis to Kevin (Pam), Mark (Lori), Kelly (Bill), Kris (Bill), valued child of Marilyn Wester; dear niece of Lenice Miller Postel, Sandra Miller Kelsey (Maynard), Doris Wester Caldwell (Arden), Elaine Wester Harkins, the late Dale Wester and the late Keith Miller; fond auntie of 16 nieces and nephews; dear daughter-in-law to Marilyn and the late Thomas Codd; sister-in-law to Timothy (Marie), Steve, Matthew and Jeff (Linda) Codd; and good friend to numerous. Shelly was born January 9, 1963, the youngest of 3 kids, in Rochester, Minnesota to the late Marlene Miller Wester and the lateDonald Gustav Wester When Shelly was 5, the household relocated to the farm in Stewartville, Minnesota, where Shelly lived till transferring to Dallas, Texas in 1984, where she operated at North Park National Bank till 1987, when she signed up withPrice Waterhouse There Shelly fulfilled Tom, who she wed in 1993. After Tommy was born in 1994, she altered occupations to run the home, raise her kids and serve her neighborhood. Kind, sweet and caring, Shelly might light a space with her stunning smile, the twinkle in her eyes and her transmittable laugh. Shelly was significantly charitable and offered for numerous causes, mostly in theDallas Catholic Community Shelly enjoyed hanging out with her household and myriad good friends, red white wine, vodka/soda, splash of cran, embellishing for vacations, hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve suppers where everybody was welcome, Nordstrom Rack, Mexico beaches, travel to Italy, France and Ireland, pets, felines, art, theater, book club, Pilates, Cooper Fitness Center, gardening, hanging out at Lake Kiowa and going to the household farm inMinnesota She gamely fought brain cancer with her normal grace, excellent spirit and humor, with nary a grievance. Shelly got extraordinary care from the UTSW neurosurgeon, radiation oncologists and neurooncologists; her caretaker Sijon Cherinet andDivinis Care Hospice More effective than any treatments were the day-to-day check outs and many acts of compassion she got from a lot of dear good friends. Shelly offered easily of her time, skill and treasure to numerous causes.
