One of the most unsafe locations to be in Iowa and South Dakota is on the open roadway, particularly if you’re driving a truck.
The Hawkeye and Mount Rushmore States are both in the leading 10 amongst states with the greatest variety of trucking mishaps.
New research study from accident attorneys WeWin, analyzed the most current information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to find which states had the greatest portion of crash deaths that included big trucks.
Iowa ranks 4th for the greatest variety of car mishaps including trucks, with 467 lorries associated with deadly crashes, 67 big trucks associated with deadly crashes, and 14.3 percent of deadly car crashes including trucks
South Dakota was close behind in 6th location.
The 2020 numbers had 191 overall lorries associated with deadly crashes, 24 big trucks associated with deadly crashes, and 12.6 percent of deadly car crashes including trucks.
Another rural state, Wyoming, led the country with 19% of all deadly mishaps including trucks.
That figure is 100% greater than the nationwide average.

At the other end of the spectrum, Washington DC had the most affordable variety of truck mishaps.
D.C. had the most affordable variety of overall lorries associated with deadly crashes in the nation, with 50 crashes, 2 of these including trucks, relating to 4 percent of all deadly car crashes.
