HOWLAND– Rebecca S. McCauley, 80, of Howland, died quietly at 9 a.m. Sunday,Sept 11, 2022.
The child of Forrest and Dorothy Smith, Rebecca was a 1960 graduate ofHowland High School
She delighted in art and was active in Howland’s Country Riders 4-H Saddle Club, which she developed with her sis,Barbara During her senior year, she was specifically chosen to fill a trainee position atTrumbull Country Club She had early years of satisfaction operating at Roberta’s Ladies Specialty Shop on Warren’s Courthouse Square.
Rebecca triggered her long-lasting love of taking a trip at age 6, on journey with her father, mommy and sis. These household experiences were initially to Florida, next the length of Route 66 from Chicago throughout the Southern mentions to California’s southern coast, then throughout the Northwestern U.S. to the Redwoods, and lastly to the Northeast, all the method to Maine and intoCanada She was an Air Force partner for over twenty years. During this time, she resided in Germany for 3 years, Japan for 3 years, likewise in Florida, California, Texas, North Carolina andArkansas In Germany, she skied the Alps and immersed herself in the culture there. While in Japan, she summited Mount Fuji and was licensed in Rikka Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower organizing.
Rebecca shared her love of travel with her child, Rachel, as they travelled together to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, all around Europe and throughout Utah and Colorado, viewing as lots of national forests as possible. Her love of photography was a fantastic inspiration throughout her adult journeys, and she was constantly camera-ready. She delighted in birdwatching, nature and wildlife and had lots of cherished animals throughout her life time. Rebecca took pride in her profession; she was the workplace supervisor for Process Innovations in Vienna for several years. Upon retirement, she mored than happy to prepare outing to covered bridges and wineries for her and her good friends.

She delegates treasure her memory her child, Rachel McCauley of Colorado; her more youthful sis, Barbara Thomas-White and brother-in-law,Richard White Jr of North Carolina.
Rebecca kept present with a group of valuable good friends with whom she preserved routine contact and relationship over several years. She was constantly eager to assist her good friends in any method. Though her instant household was little, her household of good friends was strong and encouraging. Thank you, Barbi, Berny, Betty, Carol, Catherine, Dottie, Fay, Kareen, Marta, Mary, Roberta, Shirley and Tim.
