The Cotton Creek Winery will be closed Friday, January 20, 2023 for Artie Tucker’s funeral.
BEAUMONT, Texas– Staff at the Cotton Creek Winery and members of the Southeast Texas neighborhood are beyond sad as they grieve the loss of the winery’s veteran owner.
Artie Tucker passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 58. Prior to his death, Tucker was fighting phase 4 lung and liver cancer.
During his fight, Cotton Creek Winery personnel collected to support him and his household. They held a fundraising event in 2022 to raise cash for their cherished manager.
Derek McWilliams is a veteran Cotton Creek Winery staff member. In a Facebook post, he stated Tucker’s death is more than simply the loss of an employer, it is the loss of a buddy who seemed like household.
McWilliams explained Tucker as a, “mastermind behind all the red wines and ciders and far more.”
Tucker leaves his partner, Traci Gafford Tucker; his mom, Mary Ann Tucker; his 2 sis, Yvette Wright and Dena Harbin; his 2 kids, Arthur Brian Tucker who is wed to Hannah Tucker and James Blake Tucker who is wed to Kayla Tucker, and 3 grandchildren.
Winery personnel are asking Southeast Texas to keep his friends and family in their prayers.
A funeral for Artie Tucker will be held at Broussard’s on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 6 p.m. Broussard’s lies at at 1605North Major Drive
The winery will be closed Friday for the memorial.
