New South Austin dining and drinking location Golden Hour opened previously in November at 7731 Menchaca Road, Suite 100. Co- owners Barclay Stratton and Evan Dunivan looked for to open a great coffee shop and white wine bar for South Austinites, comparable in design to European coffee shops in regards to food, white wines, area, and simple service designs. This indicates lots of bites, meals, and natural white wines served in a magnificently airy area with lots of natural light.

Under Stratton, who is the chef, food-wise, this indicates an early morning menu of pastries such as sweet and mouthwatering croissants, and an all-day menu with snacking products like charcuterie from the Salmueria, cheeses from Antonelli’s, breads, and a truly beautiful Spanish tortilla. There’s likewise a coffee and tea menu. The supper menu is brief and strong, consisting of pastas, seafood, and tartines. (He had previously worked at New American dining establishment Lenoir, to name a few.)

The white wine list was curated by Dunivan, who wished to stress natural and low-intervention white wines from all over the world and especially focused on labels from family-owned wineries and small manufacturers. The bottles are offered for purchase along with for drink-in services. There are likewise choose offerings by the glass. Expect reds, whites, rosés, sparklings, and skin contacts, along with some Texas wineries, such as Lightsome and Southold Farm andCellar
