Croatian muscat called amongst world’s finest sweet white wines in 2022
A Croatian muscat white wine has actually been called amongst the world’s finest sweet white wines in 2022 at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
Judges at this year’s prominent awards scored the very best dessert white wines from all over the world and amongst the winners was a muscat white wine from Istria in Croatia.
From Croatia, Australia, New Zealand, Slovenia and Greece to Canada, South Africa and China, countries around the globe saw sweet success, Decanter stated.
Benvenuti winery made the list for the world’s finest dessert white wines with their 2017 San Salvatore Mu škat.
” A timeless design that’s effective, abundant and similar toSauternes Fully botrytised, it has beautifully focused dried apricot, orange peel, brown sugar, buckwheat, honey and baked apple flavours, completing with a long honeyed tail. Alc 13%.”
Benvenuti’s winery becomes part of their household house in Kaldir near Motovun and was established back in 1946.
